Things women told us in our interviews.

Everyone else is moving forward. So why am I still stuck?

“I've applied to so many jobs, I've stopped counting. And half the time, I don't even get a response.”

“I know I need to network, but I'm terrified. I have no idea what to say or what I can ask for.”

“What if I regret it? I don't want to spend more time and more money and then realize this was all a big mistake.”

Sound familiar?

You’re trying to make important decisions without knowing which direction is right. You don’t have to figure out your whole future before you begin.

StartHer helps you choose one possibility, try a real step, and learn what to do next - alongside women who are figuring it out, too.

How it works

We’re two PhDs who’ve lived it, studied it, and supported women through it.

We bring two perspectives to the same challenge: how to make a decision and move forward when you don’t have all the answers.

Together, we created a practical space to help you get clearer, take a step and learn from it - with other women alongside you.

What You'll Leave With

By the end, what feels overwhelming now will feel possible.

More clarity about what you want

A clearer sense of what matters to you and one direction you want to explore next.

A plan you can act on

Choose one next step, try it in real life, and apply what you learned to decide what comes next.

More trust in yourself

Self-trust grows when you make a choice, take action, and see that you can learn and keep going - even without certainty.

A supportive network

Connect with women facing similar questions, build relationships you can draw on, and stay connected as you navigate what comes next.

A few weeks from now

You’ve taken a step. Now you know what to do next.

You chose a direction to explore and followed through on something you’d been putting off. What you learned helped you decide your next move.

You’re beginning to trust your own judgement - because you made a choice, took action and learned from it. And you can keep talking things through with women from the workshop in the group chat.

You’re moving forward with a direction, a plan and people alongside you.

Questions, answered

What you might be wondering

I don’t even know where to start. How will this help?

You do not need to arrive with a plan. In the first session, you’ll identify what matters to you, consider possibilities, and choose one direction to explore. Between sessions, you’ll take one manageable step and use what you learn to decide what comes next.

What if I don’t trust myself to make the right decision?

StartHer is not about finding one perfect answer. It helps you make a thoughtful choice, take action and learn from it. That process is how self-trust starts to build.

Everyone my age seems fine. Am I the only one struggling?

No. This workshop is for women navigating a stage that can feel surprisingly lonely: trying to make important decisions without the structure and direction university once provided. You’ll be in a group with women who understand that feeling.

What if I spend the money and nothing changes?

The workshop will not choose your future for you. It will give you a structured way to move forward: one direction to explore, one real step to take, and a clearer basis for deciding what comes next.

Will I have to speak in front of the group?

You don’t need to arrive with polished answers. We’ll guide the conversation and give you time to think through what you want to share. This is a space to explore, not to perform.

Workshop details

Is this therapy?

No. StartHer is a practical career and decision-making workshop, not therapy. You will reflect on what matters to you, explore possibilities and take a real-world step forward.

What if I can’t make one of the two sessions?

Part Two builds on Part One, so please plan to come to both. If something comes up, email us before the workshop starts and we’ll talk it through with you.

What happens after Session Two?

You’ll leave with a clearer next step and can stay connected with the group through the group chat in the weeks that follow.

What do I need to participate?

A quiet place to join the live sessions, a notebook or notes app, and willingness to take one manageable step between sessions.

Can I get my money back?

We don’t offer refunds. If your plans change, email us and we’ll talk it through with you.
